Thai Burgers Recipe
These hot and sweet burgers are a breath of fresh air.
Ingredients:
1 Cup Mayonnaise
1/4 Cup Cilantro, chopped
1 Tbsp. Limejuice
1/4 Cup Fresh Limejuice
2 Garlic Cloves, chopped
1 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3/4 tsp. Kosher Salt
2 tsp. bottled Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
1 Tbsp. Fresh Ginger, peeled and grated
1/2 Cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped
1/4 Cup Fresh Basil, chopped
1 English Cucumber, cut into matchsticks
1 Red Bell Pepper, cut into matchsticks
1 1/2 Cups Fresh Bean Sprouts
2 lbs. Ground Chuck
2 tsp. Kosher Salt
3/4 Cup bottled Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
4 Green Onions, sliced
1 Cup Spicy Thai Kettle Chips, slightly smashed
2 to 3 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
6 Potato Hamburger Buns, split
Preheat the grill to medium-hot fire.
Directions:
Whisk the mayonnaise, cilantro, and 1 Tbsp. of limejuice, in a small bowl.
For the salad, in another small bowl, whisk the limejuice, olive oil, sweet chili sauce, salt, 1/2 a cup of cilantro, ginger, and basil.
In a large bowl, combine the red pepper, bean sprouts, and cucumber and toss with the limejuice dressing.
Combine the chuck, 3/4 of a cup of sweet chili sauce, green onions, salt, and chip pieces. Shape into 6 patties.
Brush the grill with vegetable oil, and place the patties on the grill. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side, with the grill covered. Toast the buns, cut side down, for the last 2 minutes of grilling.
Serve by spreading the cilantro mayonnaise on the cut sides of the buns, place the burger on, and top with the Thai salad.
