Tex-Mex Burger Recipe


With salsa, jalapenos, and avocado served on soft corn tortillas these are the epitome of Tex-Mex.


Ingredients:

1 lb. Ground Chuck

1 Jalapeno Chile Pepper, seeded and minced

1 Cup Salsa

Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Pepper

Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Pepper to taste

4 Soft Corn Tortillas

1 ripe Avocado, pitted and sliced

1/2 Cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded


Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.


Directions:

In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, 1/4 cup of salsa, jalapeno, salt, and pepper.  Be careful with the jalapeno, we suggest you wear gloves while handling, and never touch your face.


Form 4 patties, and grill them, flipping once, for 4 minutes on each side.


Heat the tortillas in the microwave, 2 at a time, for 20 seconds.  Arrange the burgers on the tortillas.  Top with the avocado slices, salsa, and cheese, and wrap up the burger to look like a burrito.


Serve with additional salsa on the side.
