Italian Pork Burger Recipe
Here’s a great Italian-style pork burger.
Ingredients:
1 lb. Hot Italian Sausage, casings removed
8 oz. Ground Pork
2 tsp. Dried Italian Seasoning, crumbled
3 Garlic Cloves, pressed
1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
1/4 Cup Oil-Packed Sun-Dried Tomatoes, minced & drained
1 large Red Bell Pepper, quartered lengthwise
4 Onion, sliced 1/2” thick
4 Provolone Cheese, sliced 1/4” thick
4 Onion Rolls
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix the sausage, pork, seasoning, and garlic. Season with pepper. Shape into 4 patties.
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and tomatoes and cover the patties with the sauce.
Grill the burgers, peppers, and onions, flipping occasionally for 10 minutes. Move the vegetables the cool side of the grill. Add the cheese and place the rolls on the grill cut side down. Add the lid and cook until the cheese melts, about 2 minutes.
Put the burgers on the buns, and spread the mayonnaise mixture onto the bun tops. Top each burger with the pepper and onion.
