German Burger Recipe


Onion makes everything better, especially this German classic.


Ingredients:

1 lb. lean Ground Beef

1/2 medium Onion, minced

3 Tbsp. fresh Parsley, minced

1 Egg, beaten

1/2 tsp. Salt

1/8 tsp. Pepper

1/8 tsp. Ground Nutmeg

2 Tbsp. Flour

Butter (for frying, use about 1/4 stick at a time)

1 large Onion, thinly sliced into rings


Directions:

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, egg, salt, pepper, parsley, flour, and nutmeg.  Shape the mixture into patties.


In a skillet, over medium-high heat, melt the butter.  Fry the patties to your taste, 10 to 12 minutes per burger.


Remove the burgers and keep them warm.  Fry the onion rings until golden.  Place the burger on a bun and top it with the fried onion.
